Weather

As can be seen from the charts, May averages were up on last year, as was the max and min temperature. However winds towards the end of the month were from a North or North Easterly direction thereby depressing the temperature. June was a complete disappointment with temperatures way down on last year. Northerly winds predominated again in the middle of the Month.
Wind direction and spells of rain all helped to lower temperatures. We have also experienced systems of low pressure from the South West which normally occur in the Autumn. Continual windy conditions have occurred with very few calm days. The weather continues to be unsettled with no signs of any high pressure systems forming. The Iberia peninsula also got off to an unusually wet May and early June.
